Physical Signs In Dermatology

Authors: Clifford Lawrence and Neil Cox

Dermatology and books have always worked well together, simply because dermatology is the most visual of specialities. So well illustrated dermatology books are popular and always in demand and this is also another profusely illustrated dermatology book. However this book is a little different and deserves some attention simply because of its excellence. It is lavishly illustrated with high quality colour pictures and you can truly visualise the lesions. There is good accompanying text broken up with text boxes and tables. The high quality of the paper used adds to the positive impact of the book.

As the title of the book suggests, the approach to the subject matter is to break down the contents into signs and presenting features. This practical approach gives the book wide appeal and will include GPs as well as dermatology trainees. Without doubt this book is a big hit, it is beautifully produced and is at the same time, an excellent front line book which will any improve most people’s diagnostic skill. Though the price is a little steep, to be honest it represents value for money for what is an outstanding book, which is a pleasure to use.
